From Apple's website: "To program Mighty Mouse, simply open the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane in Mac OS X Tiger System Preferences. There you’ll see drop-down button menus, plus tracking, scrolling and double-clicking controls. Choose your primary and secondary button designation. Reassign which applications you want to open with Mighty Mouse. Customize your scrolling capability. Mighty Mouse’s preferences are as easy to manage and as versatile as Mighty Mouse itself, so your mouse works the way you do — not the other way around."
I had a bad Apple store experience myself. When my mother (who grew up long before the age of home computers) wanted a new computer to replace her 486 machine, I directed her to the Apple store in hopes of converting her. She was worried about Macs because she thought they wouldn't be able to talk to the IBMs everyone else has. I assured her the IBM/Mac war wasn't what it once was and that Macs could communicate fairly effectively with Windows. But as soon as she asked the saleskid at the store if the Mac would be able to help her with her old .doc files, he scared her off with a lot of gibberish about Virtual PC and that Macs were not Windows machines and were not meant to run Windows programs. She doesn't have any Windows programs, just some old articles and stories she's written saved in .doc format. Because of him she ran straight off and bought a Compaq. It was awful customer service.
